FIFA 10 is the result of feedback received from users of over 270 million games. It is a further refinement of the already mega successful FIFA 09. FIFA 10 is the 17th title in a series of video games released by Electronic Arts and sold under the EA Sports label. There are 31 leagues and over 500 teams in the game, as well as 41 national teams in the 10 series. The Russian Premier League is a new addition. The FIFA series comes in different modes and is complemented by installments based on major tournaments and series football management titles. Each annual title operates in different modes. Each year the next addition to the series carries features that are improvements or modifications.
Ultimate Team and the Manager Mode
This mode is a significant improvement on the 09 version. It is only for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It allows for the building of teams by users. There has been a substantial increase in the number of leagues and players from whose characteristics this custom made team can be built. There is now improved flexibility for gamers who previously were limited by the unavailability of certain players. Users will have more opportunity with this new improvement to build playing chemistry. In each formation the variable links allow for greater flexibility in building chemistry. Also, instead of being able to create just one team, now users can develop fifteen. FIFA tournaments also are bigger factors in this version. Users will find Manager Mode is more challenging than before. The financial aspects are closer to reality. Board approval is required for managers, which in some cases adds more risk to the game. Scouting has also become more challenging. This is the last version of Manager Mode in the FIFA series. In FIFA 11, Career Mode has replaced the Manager Mode. In Career Mode, users follow a footballers career through its evolution from player to manager.
The Virtual Pro
The new Virtual Pro feature of FIFA 10 gives gamers the chance to put themselves in the game. They can upload a picture on the EA website then save it for download it in FIFA 10. This created Pro can be added him to any team. The players attribute can be upgraded with over 200 accomplishments by playing any of the offline modes through four Be a Pro seasons. This improved player can compete in the Pro Club Championship. The Virtual pro feature does not replace the Be a Pro mode. Virtual Pro just allows you to create one Pro and use him in every game mode. The Pro players gameface can change along with the attributes. Unique player traits can add to the realism of the custom player. In general, Fifa 10 does not substantially change the established FIFA series template. Instead, it builds on the tradition of continuous improvement. With each new release, a new standard is set for simulating reality.
